Actually, I think the holding period for the cash received in lieu of stock is based on the amount of time elapsed since the purchase of the insurance policy.

You might try calling the Company. They probably have a toll-free number and a recorded message re: tax consequences of their demutualization.

Also, search for demutualization on this Board. I beleive others with more experience than me have already addressed this question. -- Suzanne
