Actually now that I review the Florida 2000 vote, I can see that Nader had too few votes to win an elector. So the amendment would also need to require Ranked Voting (first choice, second choice, etc.) with the stipulation that if your votes cannot elect an elector, then they pass to the second choice, etc.



but you don't want to design your law just on one example.

with proportional, maybe Nader gets enough votes for elector(s) and affects the race.
if he doesn't, maybe he shouldn't have
