Actually, we're already seeing changes in some IR departments. As we mentioned in the ratings section, Compaq and Amazon.com are among the ones that have made improvements since we first started talking to them about this issue -- though I don't know that we can really claim credit for the change.

I think the Fool can clearly take credit. Check out this briefing paper I came accross last week.

It is from one of the leading silicon valley law firms: Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati and appears on the web site operated by the leading legal publisher out here in California.
The paper discusses how companies should handle conference calls and prominently states that the Fool has openned up the calls. It also suggests that the companies should open their calls rather then being flames right here in Fooldom. Good work Fools!
