I tried this a week ago as a means of getting some non-drug method of managing my migraines. It frustrates me sometimes how doctors who treat migraine are mainly just "prescribers" really, and they go down the list of drugs one by one. But I found that the acupuncture really helped a lot, and in fact I have been headache-free since I went, when previously I'd gone down to 1/week after going off the pill.

I'm sure it's a combination of things that made acupuncture work, not the least of which is to just help me with stress a bit. Unfortunately it's not covered by insurance here, but it goes about $50/session with sessions once a month. But when I compare that with what I'd use as my copay on a lot of my prescriptions ($20/prescription), it seems to balance out somewhat. I haven't used medicine at all since the acupuncture.
