After a time, when your basic needs are met, there's really no reason not to do/buy things just because you want to.

That's where I fall on this as well. You can afford it, you want it. So get it.

If it makes you feel better, get the one you adore on sale for $3k, and you can just tell people you saved $2k buying that one.

Threadjack perhaps, maybe not considering both use electricity - but what was the uptick in energy usage for the hot tub? We've been mulling one over ourselves, but the energy usage is what's stopping me. The costs of the unit feels sooooooo looow, I am concerned it's like a device, expensive ink.
