After receiving some samples of Stevia, I asked questions about it on the Health and Nutrition board (you can search and find the comments) -- As a result I ordered it on-line. I probably have enough to last several lifetimes!

It seems to be safe and it certainly has enormous sweetening power. You might like it better in your morning coffee if you use less -- I didn't like it in coffee until I got it down to a miniscule amount. I haven't cooked with it, but I hardly cook anymore.

I got it because I was using so much sugar in tea that I felt I was sabotaging myself. The stevia cut out about 8-10 teaspoons of sugar each day.
