A recent post from Mr. Cynic about the new Congress' "first one hundred days" reminded me of this classic post from Mishedlo.
Most of the points made by Mish in his 9/12/2005 post remain as valid today as they did when he wrote them 18 months ago. http://boards.fool.com/Message.asp?mid=23018212
DQ ==================================================
From Mish's 9/12/05 post: 1) Let Bin Laden get away 2) Started a stupid war in Iraq for which public support is rapidy fading 3) Staked a "must have" position on SS reform that failed to get anywhere 4) Wasted countless billions of dollars on pork barrel politics to the oveall detriment of taxpayes 5) On your watch the national debt has doubled in 4 years 6) On your watch and in spite of record low interest rates and booming housing has produced very few private sector jobs 7) Has Powell apologizing for lieing to the UN 8) Has an administration that holds its own citizens without charging them with any crimes 9) Has an administration that is slowly but surely picking appart the Bill of Rights 10) Terrorism worldwide has increased on your watch 11) Has made some of the most absurd statements in history "Bring em on" "We know where they are" "They will shower us in flowers" 12) In one of the biggest miscalculations in military history, Rumsfeld underestemated what it would take to win the war in Iraq, underestimated the costs, underestimated the manpower, underestimated nearly every aspect of the whole stinking affair. 13) Your party started a war with no plan for the peace or the aftermath. 14) Your party started a war and has spent close to $300 billion on it with nothing to show for it. 15) Your party squandered the goodwill of the world after 911 and our foreign policy is in shambles 16) Your party hired a bunch of complete bozos to head up FEMA, with disasterous results
If ever there was a total failure this administration is surely it, and you have the gall to post "DEM party= Total Failures".
