I am 55 and plan to retire at most in 10 years. I am actually shooting for 7. I have done well in the mutual fund market and have a small stock portfolio that has done OK.Most of what I have is in the indexed funds and dividend growth. I have heard that the closer you get, the more I should switch to income and bond funds to preserve income.I also have tax problem since I have very little writeoff and can't hide much.Any thoughts as to direction to take or just stay the course? Thanks for your help.
