With a hashtag of #2A (2nd Amendment), Arkansas GOP state rep Nate Bell triumphantly tweeted early yesterday during the frenetic search for Dzhokhar Tsarnaev:I wonder how many Boston liberals spent the night cowering in their homes, wishing they had an AR-15 with a high-capacity magazine? And why not issue such insensitive, ill-timed garbage? Mr. Bell was in the afterglow of an orgasmic "gun high." He had recently proudly presented a bill permitting concealed carry in places of worship and had seen the bill passed. Here's the portly Mr. Bell, his head cocked and a half-smirk on his face before the amenable Arkansas legislature: http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2013/04/19/gop-lawmaker-reac...Throw out the irrelevant political labels. You can throw out "cowering," too. People of all stripes were obeying a historic decree issued in the interest of public safety. They were betting on those trained guys in their streets who were carrying high-powered stuff not purchased without a background check over the internet or out of the trunk of a car: 2 things that are apparently okay with many of Mr. Bell's cowardly ilk.Their bet was right.
