Unfortunately, the Canon 10D does have the same problem. The image sensor is such that it multiplies a 35mm zoom lens by 1.6. This is good and bad.

The good news is that my 80-200 will be a 128-320. The bad news is that my widest lens, a 24mm will be a 38mm. Not nearly wide enough for most interior room shots.

I expect to take delivery of my 10D on Monday, but I plan to hold onto one of my Elan IIe cameras for those times when I need something wider than 38mm--or until I can save enough for a 16(17)-35 2.8L or 17-40 f/4L.
