All kinds of other employers, union and non union have split shifts and such. Pointing with anger at Wal-Mart is just silly. Split shifts are nothing new. I worked for the telephone company back in the 1940's and they had split shifts. Sometimes it seemed as though you just about had time to get home, have a meal, and it was time to head back. Not many people had cars in those days so transportation was the public bus system.Ima
