All the banks I've seen offering bump-up CDs have such low rates in general that even getting the maximum benefit from the use of the bump-up (and that's a big IF) it still would have been better to get a regular CD.5-year CDs with 5.5% APY are available now ($500 minimum deposit). How fast would rates have to go up for you to break even?
