Alright, after seeing so many comments like this, I have to ask... How on earth can you condemn your beloved pooch to live in a crate??? <snip>Now maybe this is just a city dog v. suburb dog thing, since both mutts have had a nice big fenced-in backyard to run around and play in to their hearts' content. But I just cannot imagine making my furbaby live in a cage when I am asleep or at work.Really wondering...Kaiti~~~~~~~~I agree with Kaiti to the affect of never having to crate train my pooches/pets, and cannot see confining them for any period of time in a small place.Considering that I've had many pets (dogs and cats), and have never been in an apartment situation, I guess that the crate training situation has never arisen for me even though I do live in a smaller city. But, I can understand now where this may be applicable in some situations such as an apartment. My only suggestion, as also made by others, is to try to plan for any "unforeseen" circumstances (including financial) and read books from those who specialize in pet mentality/physiology to educate oneself.HC....
