Although it may seem funny to you, there are MANY denominations (most Protestants) that teach about the second coming of Jesus Christ as real event to take place in the future. The people reading the books and those that believe the story is based on future events deplicted in the Bible are not some fringe cult group. The Evangelical Christian Community is huge. They are your coworkers, next door neighbors...your president.
