I am sure all of us have some truly amazing stories of our pets intelligence. I, however have a story that goes back 30 plus years and it is something I have never quite been able to figure out. My pet at that time was a truly wonderful Blue/gray Persian.
A fine fine cat we called Sancho. Sancho made a bed out of a small comfortable chair in our bedroom.
He would go to sleep at the same time we did. Then at precisely 7:00 AM, he would get up and go to our room air conditioner and proceed to use it as his scratching pole. (Uncanny noise) He was simply telling us, "Time to get up and let me out. and time for you to go to work". Interesting enough. What I have not been able to figure out is that he would go through this routine SIX days a week. Monday until Saturday. On Sundays we would get up a little later and Sancho would not disturb us. No scratching the a/c - no "let me out" - until we would get up and let him out at about 9:30. I have spoken to any number of people about this. vets - pet lovers, friends etc. I personally think he would observe some small different action that we would take on Saturday nights or early Sunday.

Any ideas?

Ron
