Amazon.com Inc., in one of its boldest moves yet outside its core market of books, music
and video, has taken a 40 percent stake in closely held Drugstore.com,
Chief Executive Jeff Bezos said Wednesday.


Yes, the expansion continues and on the edge of innovation. However the sale of prescription drugs is controled tightly by the health insurance companies. It is a well known fact in the medical community that health insurance companies favor certain drugs and certain drug stores. Furthermore these powerful companies set the price they pay, and many of them refuse to cover the newer drugs.
