Thanks for your response, but even at the site you linked, words like "unauthorized" do not end up absolutely clearing the issue for me. I saw a list last week and specifically excluded from coverage were quite a few types of organizations the second on the list being "Church".

I've had some major medical issues lately (for the whole last year) and the pain meds mess with my memory to the point where I don't remember whether the list was FDIC or SIPC related.

I'll find it again, and then fight with our compliance department because it needs to be done. I believe the organization is covered under either program for uninvested cash. Since our custodian firm is a member of both FDIC and SIPC I would imagine the cash is covered by one or the other of those programs.
