My daughter has been playing guitar now for several years. For her birthday, we bought her a new Fender Acoustic Electric guitar.

Like a great little musician, she's been saving up for an amp and was likely going to buy one around Christmas time.

Some friends of ours just gave us an amp that I believe is WAY overkill for her acoustic electric guitar AND I think it is the wrong kind of amp. Need some help and advice.

The amp is a Peavey TKO 115 Bass Amplifier, exactly like this one.

Am I correct in assuming that this is really for an Electric Bass guitar?
