I'm trying out Turbo Tax Online this year for the first time. Pretty easy so far, if time consuming. Their automatic reminders toward the end suggested I check for carryover losses, which I found I had indeed overlooked. It was simple to figure out the regular carryover figures, but TT's screen asks for "AMT carryover losses" as well, with no instructions as to where to find them on my '04 return. (And yes, I did pay AMT last year. There are two pages of form 6251 in my return. It's just there are no obvious carryover figures on them that are at all close to the regular figures. Lines 37-39 seem like they might be where I should be looking, but it's not clear that this would be "AMT carryover gain/loss.) My income is considerably less this year, so I doubt AMT will apply to me for 05. TT offers no way to ask this question without paying–(which may be why they left no instructions??) which I'm ready to just do, but thought I'd ask here first.

Really appreciate any advice. From the simple answer to "better just pay to ask them."
