I live in what is sometimes called the Buckle of the Bible Belt, so I pass dozens of churches every day on my way to, well, anywhere. And most of them have those cheesy signs outside with the replaceable letters so the Minister or Pastor or whoever can put up some (faux) clever or pithy saying, you know, like "Read The Bible: It Will Scare Hell Out Of You", or "WalMart Is Not The Only Saving Place".

Well, this one isn't in my town (it's at the opposite end of the country, in fact,) but thanks to the internets I found out about it, and have to say "I approve"'

The sign in front of the Rose City United Methodist Church:

"God prefers kind atheists over hateful Christians."

Even more interesting, an (unscientific) internet poll on the Glenn Beck site shows that 69% of respondents agree, with only 22% who disagree.

Good show. Of course it's only one church out of 100,000, but every little bit...
