OK….there’s no point debating about whether or not President Obama did
a good job in the debate.

On the Daily Show tonight, Jon Stewart made fun of Al Gore’s remark about
how the President might not have had enough time to adjust to the high altitude
of Denver. That may, or may not, be a reasonable excuse, but it got me
thinking about the possible causes of Obama’s underperformance.

We might never know why he was “off his game” in Denver. Romney fans
(is there such a thing?) are thrilled. But we’ll find out soon enough if they have anything to cheer about. If Romney is able to pull off a similar “victory” in the next debate, even I might vote for him. (yeah, right!)

Maybe a comparison with sports makes sense. A great quarterback can have a lousy game…… it happens all the time. But, unless they’ve really “lost it,” they come back. Big time!

I'm willing to wait and see.
