And Commodore64, it wasn't the unions that messed up Hostess. Over capacity in the industry is going to result in business failures. There is competition for a decreasing market. Hostess has been struggling with market share for years, including a previous bankruptcy in 2004. 2 billion in unfunded pension liabilities doesn't help either. The hedge fund was its only chance for survival or it would have liquidated soon. Unions played brinkmanship and lost. They need someone to blame, therefore; it must be the evil investors.
