And I love my mom, and she's great, but I can't keep her *and* my DH happy, they want contradictory things and they're both very similar people. I love them both, but oh, my goodness, I don't want to live with both at one time.

Booa, that's what my gut is telling me, too. Among other things, I don't want to risk creating any tension in my marriage with my husband for the sake of saving some extra cash.

I'll post an update after we've talked with my folks, along with the thought process I came to to reach this decision, but we've basically decided to continue living in our apartment and continue to save money on our own. It's been an emotionally rough couple of weeks, but essentially I had to take a good hard look at what we would be accomplishing by living with them, and why we were doing it in the first place (when it is not like we are in a real bind and don't need to live with them). A huge weight feels like it has been lifted off my shoulders (and one that I put there myself, sad to say!).

Thanks to everyone for their support and insight.
