And you may just discover one of these days that you do NOT really have all the answers.Sheila,LOL...Don't remember me saying that I had all the answers. Reread my post...learning what works for you not for the rest of the populace, and realizing that you can't have your cake and eat it, tooSounds to me from reading your post that you have found what works for you. What's so wrong about that? You should be pleased with yourself...That's the point of my post!FINALLY tried a version of low-carb eating -- basically cutting out white carbs, and bread in general initially Hmmmm....substituting white rice for brown or a varietal and substituting white bread, as in Wonder, for a wholegrain bread isn't cutting out carbs--it's eating a better quality of carbs. If you changed your eating habits to dump "white", overly-processed, cheap ingredients foods and started to eat wholegrain foods with much more food value and a smaller portion size, I suspect you would've lost the weight without proclaiming that you were on the Atkins Diet.I think we're on the same track, but reaching a conclusion through a different thought process. I find nutritional discussion fascinating as there are so many variables when talking how to lose weight. Again, be proud that you have found what works for you--many don't, and, therein, lies the problem.Nancy
