I am currently uninsured. I know it's a dangerous position to be in but I have had two major tickets and one minor one in the last five years. It has been more than two years since the last ticket, but I am unable to find anything close to a reasonable rate. The insurance companies I have checked have either refused coverage or offered coverage that is so high priced I cannot afford it...close to $200 a month. None of these tickets involved drunk drivin....I was suspended because of failure to pay a ticket when I was in financial trouble. Any ideas about how to find insurance that isn't out of line? I am driving a brand new car and the finance company has a policy that protects only ther interests and not mine.

Why not buy a cheap used car. Then you'll be able to afford auto insurance and the rest of us won't have to worry if we meet you on the highway.
