DAL main advantage comes from its loyal fan base, its excellent skymiles program and staying ahead of its primary competitors in innovating passenger features.

Plus DAL has limited footprint in Asia which means there is a good room for growth in the future.

Not so true. Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) got a major hub in Tokyo with the acquisition of Northwest Airlines a few years ago.

Delta does have good room for growth, but it's mostly in the western states and in the Pacific. Alaska Air Group (NYSE: ALK) and Hawaiian Airlines (NASDAQ: HA) would be good acquisitions to extend Delta's route network, whenever an opportunity arises.
