Hoping you guys can help me with this. Or at least put me at ease as you did with the 'tainted veggie' problem.

I close on my house in a few days. My first, so I am muddling my way through. When walking around in the yard during the inspection, I noticed a *lot* of blackwidow spiders.

I don't particularly like blackwidows but I don't really mind them much either. The problem is they are all over the place (not inside, just outside) and I have young nieces and nephews who will be (I hope) spending a lot of time at my house. I am concerned that one or all of these curious kids will end up in an encounter with one of those nasty spiders.

Question is:

How do I get rid of the blackwidows in my yard?

Could this be another form of alien infiltration as renyag suggested of my neighbors?
