Another possibility would be to open a checking account with a debit card in their name. The card would be able to be used anywhere a credit card is excepted but would be based on only as much money as they had in the account. You could make them responsible for keeping track of how much they had in the account as a beginning lesson in budgeting. You could then just transfer an amount from your account to their account whenever you wanted to. ====================================That depends on how the account is set up. Some can be overdrawn. We set my kid's up so it would be refused if there wasn't enough money.Even then it can be overdrawn if the transaction is with a business that isn't tied into the system. Like if the business's machine is down and the process the charge manually.Jean
