There is some chatter on the Monsanto board that either Bayer, Novartis or AHP may make a run at Monsanto. I find it hard to understand why AHP might do that since they had their chance for a merger last year, and for reasons of "different cultures" (whatever that means) they decided not to complete the deal. There was a great article in Business Week about 2 weeks ago on the bio-genetics business. Monsanto is clearly the purest play in that agro area. I personally think Monsanto would be a great fit for AHP and I'd love to see some AHP owners come out of their long hibernation this spring and weigh in with their views. Any AHP employees out there???? Got any scuttlebutt?
