Another unappreciated aircraft (at least until it was too late) was the Navy/marine Corps A-6. For those who might be interested, the May 28 edition of the Wall Street Journal had a op-ed piece from former SevNav Lehman (an A-6 guy too) which laments the loss of all-weather capability, and poses questions about how the Kosovo campaign might have benefited from their presence.

Of course, he does get in a few well-aimed blasts on the Clinton administration. I understand that TMF does not allow copyrighted material on the boards, but for those of you who cannot access that issue of WSJ and who have a burning desire to read this, respond by hitting the email reply to author button and, barring too overwhelming a response, will endeavor to forward the info on.
