Any time you're reading a message board, such as this one, you have to take into account that the people posting do not necessarily reflect the majoriy view (whether it's the majority of people who read this board or the majority of people who use B&H). It's much easier to complain than it is to compliment. So, it may be a valid assumption that people who are angry with B&H are posting, while those who see it as a step they had to take to stay solvent aren't posting as much.

For what it's worth, I'm staying with B&H (I already have an E-Trade account which I also continue to use). It's still only $7/month for 2 trades. As long as you buy every month, then it won't matter that much and it's still less than almost every other brokerage.
