Hey everybody,
I hope this board doesn't end up in the graveyard. Not only would that have a negative effect on the founders (me) ego but I think that this industry will be a huge money maker in the near future. In fact it already is. I just need to know if anyone has any ideas regarding companies that specialize in this area of the pharmaceutical/beauty market. Keep in mind a few statistics that were given on a special report about staying young:
1. The average income of folks getting plastic surgery is 30,000 to 40,000 per year.
2. The number of men getting plastic surgery has increased by 60%.
3. The cosmeceutical industry is currently racking up $2.7 billion per year and this should double by 2006.
4. Last but not least, only old people want to look old.
This report was on shown on CNN if my memory serves me correctly. I hope that someone has some ideas out there about companies that specialize in making products that combine science and cosmetics, stuff that gets rid of crows feet and wrinkles. It may just be the next big thing.
