I have two sets of estimates for loans based on 95 LTV with PMI v. 80/15/5 without it. A local lender has a reasonable rate in the 5.75% range and an internet lender has an extremely low one of 5.5% which makes me a little wary. Both options have points but they are trivial as they only apply to the second trust and they amount to about $250 at closing. Anyone have experience with Hoame Loan Center through Lending Tree or, for that matter, any other online lender. I aggressively shop rates for everything in my local area but I've never tried online. Help!
