AOL:

Your life is what you decide to make of it.

You can live for yourself.
You can live to make the world a better place.
You can become a family man and live for your family.
You can live to maximize your pleasure.
You can live for your religion.

I'm not even sure what the entire list is. Everyone decides this for themselves consciously or unconsciously ("if you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice!").

No one can tell you which choice is right for you.

For me personally, I have lived for my kids my whole adult life. Now that my kids are moving out, I will face a similar crisis - but I haven't quite gotten there yet.

I'm thinking whatever my primary choice is, I plan to mix a little hedonism in to :)
