What can I say? Except thank you all for your patience so far wrt my endless questions and summations. This has certainly become a wonderful board for all things Christian.

It seems to me that what one gets from this board is in equal proportion to what one is willing to give. Respect for respect, cheap shots for cheap shots, and, as in all other human endeavor, there is the opportunity to earn credibility- it is not a gift- but once earned (and I'm not sure I've earned it yet) it is given freely. :o)

The subject matter here is not always easily put into words, but through your time, effort, and understanding of your subject matter, I believe I have finally begun to understand the answers to my questions. I'm not quite there yet wrt my curiosity, but I hope to be less of a burden in the future. It is the nature of the answers that gave me such trouble at first, as they speak to a realm that rightly transcends human experience and understanding. Atheists are from Mars and Christians are from Venus. The book who's title from which I stole this sentiment is about the different ways the sexes experience the world, and I don't see that fundamental difference changing any time soon. :o) But communication should be, and is, possible between the two in the respectful understanding of the other side and their obviously different views.

But I don't have to tell you guys that. I've not felt condemned, belittled, or attacked here since I started asking my questions. Even the Christmas Troll song was done tastefully and made me laugh. I recc'ed it. :o)

I'm not saying that I won't continue to ask, challenge, and otherwise communicate here, but I wanted to spend a whole new message just saying thanks for your thoughtful, sometimes painstaking, responses.

You don't have to do that, but you do.

k (Atheist)
