are there a lot of ads in the magazines for Airlines, Cruises, Hotels, and other traditional vacation businesses?

Hmmmmm..... good question. I'm not sure -- I mostly just read the articles.

But I have the same question about RVs.
I know that if you buy one you can expect to lose money when you sell it -- a lot of money. But I'd still like to know if anyone here makes this a part of their retirement and how they feel about it.

I don't think I've seen any articles in financial magazines about RVs, though.

I mention timeshares because there is an article in the current Kiplingers that just came yesterday -- and there was one a few months back in another of the magazines I subscribe to (and it was also not a favorable article).
