Are there some sort of temporary measures you can set up? A $7 bookcase or something to serve as short term shelves? I agree having the right setup makes all the difference, but you shouldn't have to wait so long :-)---------------I don't have room for a temporary solution... I need the desk to expand UP. I'm in a small corner in the dining room, and the floor space is all taken up. Unfortunately, my husband doesn't have a handy bone in his body to even build simple shelves. I'd really rather wait until I can afford the desk and just get it. Sure it's a pain in the butt now, but I won't have to waste money on the temporary solution. I'm actually probably less than a year away from being able to get it. (Assuming the cars hold up with minimal work.)PS: let me put on my worrywart hat for a moment and make sure that you're absolutely positive that the room your husband is stripping doesn't have any lead paint in it. If it does it's just not worth it for him to work on it while Seany is little. -------------Pretty sure. I don't think he has actually worked on it once since Seany was born, but he always has the door closed, the windows open, and a filtered mask on. And he isn't sanding *anything*!Rebecca
