Are you saying that:
1. You are now holding the VTSMX fund in your IRA account, and
2. At some later point in time you would want to sell the VTSMX fund and with the proceeds purchase another fund/s in the same IRA account?

If so, yes, one can buy and sell funds within an IRA account with no tax consequences.
