They don't specify the capacity, but if it's going to replace the shuttle then it must be a heavy-lift system. Wonder how it compares to the Soviet/Russian Energia.

Ares 1 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ares_I is intended to replace the space shuttle. Ares 5 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ares_V is a super heavy for cargo.
