Art, you asked:

Has anybody had any dealings with GE Capital?

GE Capital is the financial services arm of GE. Our money market funds are kept in GE Capital. Competitive interest rates, free check-writing privileges, telephone transfers, all that neat stuff. I've been very happy with them.

I don't know anything about a financial consolidation offer, however. I would really be hesitant about handing over all my account info before I got anything specific from a lender (terms and conditions, etc.).

They strike me as a great organization. If you persist, they should be willing to send you something up-front describing the program in detail, especially the T&C.

Good Luck!
