As a career pilot (not with an air carrier), this really makes me wonder about United. Don't they realize they can be replaced. History should warn them not to cause problems for the public and not to cause financial problems for their own EMPLOYEE-OWNED airline. Do the names of the once world-dominant airlines Pan Am, TWA, and Eastern ring a bell. This just reinforces a personal rule I was about to ignore: Never buy an airline stock. One bad crash or one stupid strike/whatever and it's all over. I can truly thank the airlines for making corporate aviation such a booming success recently.
