as a new-ish fool, you might check out the Fool teacher board:


everyone thinks a private school teacher rakes in the bucks, but 'tis not the case. (there are several private school teachers among my relatives).

i am personally wary of the Fool recomendations on Hgems and other offerings, but i like to do my own research. since you are a teacher, i know you might have limited time to check into any company they might recommend. so some amount of index fund exposure might be appropriate too.

there's lots of info out there on books and investing (on the Fool and otherwise). i suspect if you did a search on the Fool for good books for investing you will find dozens of entries..maybe look here(?):
