--Fast and Furious Wildfires in California. This is a normal weather pattern and fire behavior they normally see in late fall after a full summer of drying. Humidity hovering at 4% (this is not the desert), record high temperature today of 97F at one fire location, snow melt in nearby mountains some 70% less than last year.
--Moving east, record snows in many places from the Rockies to the midwest, some 13" in Rochester, MN which is quadruple any other May snow, all time records being set for May snowfall in MN, WI.
--Moving north, North Dakota residents exhausted from multiple floods. Four floods in the last five years. Last year was the only year since 2009 without a flood because there was a severe drought.

2012 Global Temperatures were the 10th Highest on Record; in the US "the year of a surreal March heat wave, a severe drought in the Corn Belt and a huge storm that caused broad devastation in the Middle Atlantic States, and turns out to have been the hottest year ever recorded in the contiguous United States." All 12 years to date in the 21st century (2001–2012) rank among the 14 warmest in global temperatures in the 133-year period of record. Only one year during the 20th century-1998-was warmer than 2012.
