As someone sitting on the sidelines, I don't see why we should (as a society) bail out all these prime and sub-prime borrowers. They over borrowed and the banks made reckless loans, they should both suffer the consequences.
That would be nice if those consequences carry don't over into the general economy.

What makes you think you're sitting on the sidelines? You don't have a job that requires customers or access to financing somewhere along the line?
