As usual, Phil and ira are correct, however, whether it is line 10, line 21 or Schedule E it will still increase AGI even though both property tax and income tax were deducted as itemized deductions AFTER AGI is determined. I'd opt to put it on line 21. The point is don't file a 1040X for this, and don't deduct it from property taxes you are paying this year on Schedule A. ed
