Go to their website and review the procedures for that... it sounds like you have a good case for a waiver until this is cleared up...

ALSO since the check was probably made out to you and it is probably for more than $5k-$10k ... NO bank is going to cash it WITHOUT checking with the issuing bank.

Ask to get the check immediatly and ask to re-issue the check...
