Ask them to try to imagine where they want to be, financially speaking, 20 years from now.

Do some want to be in charge of their own destiny, able to do what they want to do, be financially independent???

If so, one needs to save, invest, live below your means, and work hard to achieve your goals.

You could then very briefly touch on the various topics as appropriate, ie the magic of compound interest, the 4% rule, IRA/401K maxing out, the millionaire next door, etc.
