I am a 60 year old male who has not done a great job in investing and building wealth for my retirement and my family.
Currently, the only investment that I have is a 401k through the company I work for. The company invests $1.60 for evert $1.00 I invest up to 2.5% of my salary. I currently have $50,000 in this account.
I have finally reached a point in my life that I know that I need to invest and start building wealth and security for the future.
What I am looking for are some first steps that I can use to start this process. I have allowed my fears of the unknown outweigh my need to invest for all of these years.
I have followed the Fools for the last few years and I must say that what they have advised seems to be solid...but just have been scared to take the leap.
Would appreciate any and all advise that you can send.
