I'm in my mid-40s, hoping to retire or move to a part time job within the next 5 years, give or take.I've always been a stock market investor, with a small amount in I-Bonds and an emergency fund in a bank money market account.I now find myself in a position of needing to reallocate my investment portfolio to include fixed income investments as I get closer to retirement.I did not notice a FAQ section for this board - so I thought I'd ask for any advice here I can get. I am not so much concerned about the percentage of my portfolio in bonds and fixed income investments as I am about which ones to choose from for obviously the best combination of income weighed against risk.If anyone can point me toward a personal favorite post from the past, that would also be appreciated. Also, a co-worker recommends closed end income funds. Any second opinions?Thank you, MG
