Assuming that you, as one of the highly paid echelon, runs the company

I do not think that it is a good assumption to think that someone who makes less than $100,000 "runs" any large company (or for that matter many small companies with 401k's). Only those in the top tier of the "highly paid echelon" make such decisions.
